3. Glass Beach, California
Share
An unusual case of positive pollution. Until 1967, Glass Beach in Fort Bragg was a literal dumping ground, where residents would venture to chuck out anything from glass bottles to kitchen appliances. These days, however, the beach is a beautiful sight – brightly coloured, being made up of worn-down glass pebbles. Sadly, this is a one-off success story and we do not condone littering in any way, shape or form.
