Casablanca is an American film released in 1942 and directed by Michael Curtiz. Throughout the film, we discover a romantic drama taking place in the Moroccan city Casablanca, which is under the control of the Vichy regime. The film is based on the theatre show ”Everybody Comes to Rick’s” by Murray Burnett and Joan Alison. The main actors are Humphrey Bogart as Rick Blaine and Ingrid Bergman as Ilsa Lund. It’s one of the most valued films of American cinematography and the winner of several Oscars, including the Best Film in 1943.
