27 – Spirited Away – 2001

Spirited Away is a 2001 Japanese anime film directed by Hayao Miyazaki and produced by Studio Ghibli. It is the seventh feature length film directed by Miyazaki in the studio and the twelfth Ghibli production. The film follows the story of a young 12 year old girl called Chihiro who finds herself trapped in a magic and supernatural world whilst moving. She must get back her freedom and that of her parents to be able to return to her world. Miyazaki wrote the script after deciding that the film would be based on a friend´s daughter who stayed with him every summer.
