19 – Seven Samurai – 1954

Seven Samurai is a 1954 Japanese film directed by Akira Kurosawa. It received a Silver Lion in the Venice Film Festival and two Oscar nominations. The film is considered one of the greatest and most influential films in history. It is one of the few Japanese films that earned Western fame and popularity for many years. In 1982 it was chosen on the Sight & Sound list as one of the ten most important films of all time.
