Born on August 14, 1983, in Marshfield, Wisconsin, Sesselmann primarily played as a defender during her career. She made her debut for the Canadian national team in 2011 and went on to represent Canada in various international tournaments, including the FIFA Women’s World Cup and the Olympic Games. At the club level, Sesselmann played for several teams in North America, including the Boston Breakers and FC Kansas City in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL).
