Ha Long Bay, Vietnam
Share
Located in the northeast of Vietnam, Ha Long Bay is known for its thousands of islands made of limestone, of different sizes and shapes and covered with natural vegetation that bring a mystical beauty to the place. According to legend, when a great dragon that lived in the mountains ran into the sea, its tail dug valleys that were later filled with water, leaving only pieces of land on the surface, i.e. the countless islands that can be seen in the bay. Declared a Unesco World Heritage Site in 1993, many activities are possible in this area, cruises in a junk, kayak excursions that allow you to navigate between the islands, scuba diving and climbing or hiking in the mountainous national park of Cát Bà in particular.
