2. Net Loss

Commended in the Oceans category, this photo was taken in Norway by the photographer Auden Rikardsen. It shows the encounter between nature and humanity, showing the aftermath of a fishing boat. The marine biologist was exploring the ocean when he saw this frightening scene. In the background, we can see the fishing boat, that burst its nets. Here we can see some of the effects of the catastrophe that is overfishing, when we fish so much that the ecosystem has no time to replenish itself. We have to say that the foto is fascinating even if it is a little sad.
