Utsuro, also known as Yoshida Shouyou, is a central antagonist in the anime series Gintama. As a seemingly immortal being born out of countless battles and lifetimes of suffering, Utsuro possesses incredible strength, agility, and regenerative abilities. Once the mentor of protagonist Gintoki Sakata, he is driven by a nihilistic desire to end his own existence, leading him to manipulate events throughout history and orchestrate chaos. Despite his immense power, Utsuro is portrayed as a deeply tormented and conflicted character, adding layers of complexity to his villainous persona.
