1. Lockdown Chicks

This photo by Gagana Mendis Wickramasinghe was taken during the long days of lockdown in 2020, when the Sri-Lankan spent his days watching some parakeets raise their children inside a dead tree. The rose ringed parakeets are found in Southern Asia and Central Africa and live between 20 and 25 years. If only we´d had views as beautiful as this during the first lockdown!
