1 – Nauru

Nauru lies northeast of the Soloman Islands and is one of the smallest islands in the world. It has a population of fewer than 10,000 inhabitants and there is no official capital. After experiencing an economic decline, the country has had to set its sights on new activities and, as a result, it now serves as a prison for the Australian authorities. It is affected by violent storms which turn into cyclones for half of the year, and is therefore a dangerous place to visit. The country lacks nightlife for any tourists who have an interest in visiting.
