Share
Born in Vienna, Lise Meitner was an Austrian physicist who studied radioactivity and nuclear physics, and was the discoverer of nuclear fission. She studied under great scientists like Ludwig Boltzmann and Max Planck, and worked with Otto Hahn to discover the element Protactinium. Although she was denied a Nobel Prize, her name will be forever present due to the fact that the scientific community named a chemical element after her, the Meitnerium.
