Birds
Share
The ability to fly has given birds extraordinary diversification, so that today they live and breed in virtually every terrestrial habitat and on all seven continents. In addition to their importance to humans, whether for food, companionship or work, birds also contribute to the well-being of the ecosystem. A variety of ecological roles can be attributed to birds such as performing insect control, forest decomposition, nutrient recycling, pollination and seed sowing, and soil aeration.
