Jane Goodall is a world-renowned British primatologist, ethologist and anthropologist. Considered the world’s leading chimpanzee scholar , Goodall has her most recognized work with the study of social and family interactions of wild chimpanzees. She worked in the field in Tanzania’s Gombe Stream National Park in the 1960s, where she was the first to witness human-like primate behaviour, including armed conflict. Her extensive studies shed new light on the lives of chimpanzees, making discoveries such as they are omnivorous and they can design and use tools.
