Julius Caesar, emperor of Rome, was considered one of the most important people of his time. As emperor of one of the biggest empires planet Earth has ever seen, he had immense power and influence which combined with strategy and a great military force helped him to conquer a lot of territory and expand his empire. Despite belonging to the upper classes of the Roman people, Caesar had many enemies and his ideas on social equality may have been the catalyst for his assassination.
