Share
Discovered in 1824, this complete dinosaur skeleton was the first to be found in pristine condition. Until then, skeletons found in archaeological excavations were not attributed to a specific animal and were not accepted in the scientific community as being dinosaurs. This discovery not only led to the denomination of dinosaur and its identification as a different animal being accepted but also led to the growth of the study of these animals and in the field of palaeontology.
