22 – City of God – 2002

City of God is a Brazilian film shown in 2002. It’s based on a true story written by Paulo Lins. The film focuses on the war between Zé Pequeño and Mané Galinha, which takes place in one of the favelas of Rio de Janeiro called City of God. One of the famous quotes from the film is “Fight and you’ll never survive… Run and you’ll never escape…”. The film has a non-linear structure.
