Hades has helped Supergiant Games to positively shine. This roguelike action-packed game arrived on our screens 17 September 2020, after a long wait following its announcement in December 2018. Strange as it might seem, in Hades you play as Zagreus, the god of the Underworld’s son. The object of the game is to escape the Underworld and get to Mount Olympus. You will receive help along the way from the gods and various characters from Ancient Greece. Just like in any good roguelike game, every time you try to escape the map will randomly regenerate, so nothing is ever the same. Most of the time, you won’t manage to escape, but the treasure accumulated each time can be used to unlock weapons and abilities. Another cool thing about the roguelike element of Hades is that Supergiant games has managed to incorporate stories into the course of each attempt. You really have to understand the game to be able to make progress; without that your efforts are futile.
