A lovely colourful statue … of a man eating a child! And he’s got two more children for afters. Kindlifresser actually translates as Child Eater, so there’s no misinterpretation to be had here. Built in 1546, no one actually knows the story behind the monument, although there are many theories, of course. Invent your own to keep the kids in check …
