Georgia is a country in Eastern Europe which is bordered by Russia in the north and east, Turkey and Armenia in the south, Azerbaijan in the east and south, and the Black Sea in the west. Due to hugely diverse landscapes and low latitude, Georgia is home to around 1000 species of vertebrates and large carnivores living in its forests. These include bears, wolves, lynx and leopards. The country hosts around 4,100 species of plant. Around 1,000 are endemic and 1,000 are found in the Caucasus. From World Heritage Sites in Mtskheta to national museums and parks, Georgia has plenty to offer. Sports are other activities that can be enjoyed by visitors, which include skiing, snowboarding and motor racing.
